My role & responsibilities
As Product & UI Designer, I led the experience end to end:
- Defined the product structure, content hierarchy and overall design strategy.
- Designed every app screen and interaction pattern in Figma, including dark and light modes.
- Created the brand identity and the motion system.
- Designed the Bible Tracker, Devotionals and AI Chat experiences.
- Collaborated with developers to align UI specs and component behavior.
- Analyzed Mixpanel data to understand behavior, spot engagement patterns and guide improvements.
- Generated visual assets and concept art to unify the product's visual tone.

Foundation: concept & structure
The project began with a clear mission: turn spirituality into a daily digital practice. I mapped user motivations and behaviors around devotional apps and found three essential needs, clarity, motivation and continuity.
The visual system was built to express peace and lightness. Soft gradients and subtle depth evoke calm focus while keeping a clean, modern aesthetic. Typography and spacing followed a principle of functional serenity, prioritizing readability and presence without visual noise.
In Figma, I developed the initial layouts and flows for onboarding, progress tracking, Bible reading, devotionals and chat. Each flow was designed to feel guided but not intrusive, a gentle rhythm that motivates consistency without pressure.

Experience & execution: design in motion
With the foundation set, the focus shifted to a system built for engagement and retention. Gamification, streaks, achievements and visual progress, celebrates commitment without turning devotion into competition.
The Bible tracker lets users see their reading progress as a growing puzzle, a simple but powerful metaphor for spiritual completion. Devotionals and reflection sections were designed for calm reading, with soft gradients that subtly adapt to the content's tone.
The AI-powered Bible Chat was crafted to feel natural and human, offering guidance and daily encouragement. It was one of the most delicate pieces to design, balancing spiritual integrity with conversational usability.
All visual assets were produced with Midjourney, giving each reading plan and devotional a timeless, painterly feel that connects classical art with modern design. The interface was tested and refined to stay clear across light and dark modes.

Outcome: growth & retention
DivineTalk launched on the App Store with strong adoption and engagement. In the first months it reached over 35,000 new users and held more than 50,000 active users across 28 days.
The design system kept every module visually consistent, from reading and reflection to gamification and chat, making future feature expansion possible without losing the brand's essence.
More than a functional product, DivineTalk became a daily space for mindfulness, reflection and faith, blending emotional design, user psychology and spiritual storytelling into one cohesive experience.
